The following requirement list is for RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol) streams coming into the Imagen platform.
SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) stream has replaced this as the prefered method of live stream capture into Imagen as it is codec/bitrate agnostic.

Live Streaming Tech Requirements

Imagen can process live stream feeds, which can be displayed and ingested.
As the streams plays out in your system, you may log and clip content as with any Imagen record.
To enable smooth processing, our teams currently recommend your webstream output match the settings* below.

  1.    Video encoded with H.264 at resolutions of 720p25/30 and stereo audio encoded with AAC-LC
  2.    Audio sampling rate should be 44.1 kHz
  3.    Closed GOP and CBR mode encoding recommended
  4.    Available bandwidth should exceed the aggregate bitrate for video and audio
  5.    The incoming stream cannot contain multi-bitrate video
  6.    The video stream should have an average bitrate below 5 Mbps
  7.    The audio stream should have an average bitrate below 0.5 Mbps
  8.    Following are the supported codecs:
  •    MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 Video
  •    Baseline, Main, High Profile (8-bit 4:2:0)
  •    High 10 Profile (10-bit 4:2:0)
  •    High 422 Profile (10-bit 4:2:2)
  •    Mono, Stereo
